Kyanite is a form of silicate mineral and is one of the trade names for blue gems. It is often found in volcanic regions and has a variety of colors, depending on where it’s found. Kyanite can be found in many colors: black, grey, brownish-yellow, and blue. Kyanite derives its name from the Greek word “kyanos,” which means deep blue color. Kyanite is a member of the amorphous silicate group and has a Mohs hardness of 9.

Kyanite occurs as large crystals, needles, and platelets in the form of encrustations or crusts. Kyanite is formed by hydrothermal processes in hot fluids and was produced in this way as early as 3 to 1 billion years ago. Later, kyanite was formed by crystal growth from solution, with mineral precipitation from hot magma.

What Are the Benefits of Kyanite?

1. Balances and Harmonizes the Yin and Yang Energy in the Body

Kyanite is associated with the heart chakra and enhances one’s sense of oneness with the divine. It directly connects with the soul and activates this chakra, creating a deep awareness of divine guidance. As such, kyanite promotes an attunement to one’s spiritual nature and helps reveal essential life lessons we must experience to evolve as an individual.

Kyanite also serves to balance yin/yang energies, encouraging better coordination between spirit and mind, heart and body.

2.Increases Clairvoyant Abilities, Psychic Development, and Dream Recall

Kyanite is a “stone of clarity” and permits one to see through illusion into the reality of things. It is helpful for those who must make difficult decisions, especially when one does not have all the facts or information needed.

Kyanite enables one to connect with the spiritual or high self and enhances communication between that part of oneself and the physical body. It helps us obtain higher-level guidance and connects us to our soul’s purpose in this lifetime.

3. Amplifies Thoughts Into Physical Matter

Kyanite is named for the deep color of its crystals, which reflect the blue light of the soul. It can amplify thought and create desired changes in physical form. Kyanite can be used as a crystal for healing or protection, especially during difficult times. It is a stone of courage and determination, mainly associated with crystals such as amethyst and garnet.

4. You Can Use Fights Depression

Kyanite’s calming energy helps elevate our moods, especially when experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression. It has been shown to reduce cortisol levels in the body and helps reduce panic attacks.

5. Promotes Patience, Compassion, and Forgiveness

Wearing Kyanite helps us understand our connection to others and the things that affect us all. It supports us in acceptance and the release of anger and resentment.

6. Helps Reduce Pain

Kyanite is a good stone for those who suffer from chronic or acute pain. It helps ease symptoms of arthritis, rheumatism, muscular pains, and migraines. It has also been used to ease the symptoms of diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.

Kyanite is an excellent stone for crystal grids or hanging in the four corners of a significant chakra layout. It is helpful during meditation and any time you need extra support.

8. Keeps You Safe at Night

Kyanite is an excellent protection stone and is particularly helpful when used in the four corners of a crystal grid while sleeping. It also
